Enhanced features including on-screen caller ID and automated STB registration also deployed
ATLANTA, GA – October 14, 2010 – Enhanced Telecommunications, Inc. (dba ETI Software Solutions) today announced a successful integration of Reservation Telephone’s existing billing system and Microsoft Mediaroom via TriadTM, ETI’s flagship product. This deployment took only a matter of days and solved a significant challenge facing the North Dakota co-op.
“We’ve been struggling with deployment issues for quite some time,” said Doug Prock, Data Network Tech Coordinator at Reservation Telephone. “Experiencing difficulties with time frames, compatibility and training was frustrating. For years, we’ve been running Triad to support automated provisioning in our HFC network,” he said. “We decided to circle back to ETI and found their solution was rapid and reliable.”
ETI provided a fully automated integration into Microsoft Mediaroom, completely preserving the back-office procedures, by leveraging ETI’s existing integration into the billing system (NISC). Because ETI’s TriadTM seamlessly provisions all major B/OSS interfaces, the project took less than a week to fully deploy. “The amount of time we have recovered is critical to the success of our IPTV launch,” said Prock.
ETI also delivered several enhanced features, including the on-screen Caller ID module, a feature-rich module that allows subscribers to suppress or view certain numbers, as well being able to view and modify caller ID history. To simplify Reservation’s installation process, ETI’s solution also supports on-screen automated set-top box (STB) registration. This allows instantaneous, flow-through provisioning from TriadTM to Microsoft Mediaroom. “We are so impressed with the time line and the simplicity of ETI’s solution that we are planning to add even more of their applications for Mediaroom, including remote DVR,” said Prock.
